The H2O youth workers have taken part in various aspects of bridging P7 pupils into S1 at Oban High School, including induction days and Summer Sensations events

Atlantis Leisure

The Atlantis Lock-in in March 2005 took place in Atlantis Leisure Sports Centre and ran from 10pm - 8am. It involved partnership with Stramash, Oban Youth Café, Playsport, Community Police and Atlantis. Over 230 young people took part. A repeat of this event is eagerly awaited



 
 
   

WHO WE ARE


H2O is run by a Board of 12 Directors and a growing number of volunteer groups.

The Directors and Volunteers support and encourage the Youthworkers in the wide range of activities in which they are involved. Working with energetic young people is both rewarding and challenging. New Volunteers are always welcome.

YOUTH WORK TEAM

H2O currently employs two full time Christian Youth Workers.

The two workers work from "The Well", The H2O Base in Lochavullin Road in Oban. This is used for many youth activities, volunteer training, music events and training events.

Ewen Munro was born in Glasgow and following a 16 year period in international textile design, he was drawn to full-time Christian youth work, with a church in West Yorkshire. Further to completing a degree in Youth and Community Work and Applied Theology, he worked in senior management for Barnabas Trust at Whithaugh Park in the Scottish Borders. Ewen began working with H2O on the 1st June 2004.

Tom Sunderland, from Oban, was educated at Rockfield Primary and Oban High School until 2002, Tom has gained much of his experience through voluntary church links both nationally and during a two-year spell based in Glasgow. Tom joined H2O on the 1st December 2004.
