Wacky, Wet and Dry 3
In early September 2008, 25 young people took part in Wacky, Wet and Dry 3, experiencing Sea Kayaking, Sailing and dry sky slope skiing at Kilbowie Outdoor Centre. Supported by the expertise and experience of Kilbowie staff, this event, a development of WWD in June '06 and August 2007 in its simplest form gave young people the opportunity to have a go at the outdoor activities, mostly for the first time. Central to many H2O events, partnership working and volunteer participation are often the foundations, ensuring a well-organised, safe and memorable occasion. The 'have-a-go' ethos afforded young people, mainly S1 age-group, opportunities to build confidence, to develop new skills, to control enthusiasm appropriately and to interact with instructors and other adults in a safe and dependable environment.
