SASSY

Youth Alpha

TNTTo date, H2O have run 4 Youth Alpha courses, providing the opportunity for young people to explore the Christian faith. These take place at the Well, in small groups over 10 weeks and use drama, video and other multi-media aspects to provide and safe and fun environment to chat, question and investigate Christianity.

Several Christian faith-based youth groups have followed on from Youth Alpha courses:

SASSY ran from August 2007 for a year and still meets on an occasional basis for special events and activities.  This high school age Christian fun and fellowship group met on Sunday afternoons at the Well. Between 10 and 14 young people attended sessions which included games, crafts, dry-slope skiing, hot chocolate, pizza and an opportunity to chat some Jesus talk.

From February to April 2007, H2O ran their first monthly Christian youth event, “Cleaning in Progress”. The aim of the event was to provide young Christians and those who might have an interest with the space and the opportunity to explore and grow in their faith through contemporary worship, digging into scripture and prayer in a fun and relaxed way.

TNT is the current Tuesday night group, where between 8 and 10 young people gather to eat, drink and be silly. TNT continues to provide space and a place to find out how aspects of the Bible and the Christian faith are relevant to today, and to the lives of the individual and the group. TNT are also keen to look out for others and are currently fund-raising for others in need.

SPACEFISH is a monthly gathering of local young folk who have an interest in expressing their Christian faith and discovering more of what it can mean to follow Jesus. From January 2009, SPACEFISH will meet on the last Friday of most months from 7-9pm at the Well and is open to all from S4 upwards.
